You're right - no one else will have mercy, unless we have it for ourselves.
"And the second commandment is like unto it - ye shall love thy neighbor as thyself." Looks like a lot of people out there have no love for themselves, let alone anyone who has "more of them to love".
I should get rid of a hundred, and I've been my idea weight before, but it was hard to get down to it, and impossible to keep down to it and have any energy. And I'd still rather lie in bed and feel the luxury of cotton sheets than get up and walk a few miles in the cold mornings. Butter tastes better than any substitute, and the people in my family died of old age, with a touch of dementia.
I do like this piece you've written - it makes me think of my choices, the reasons/excuses for what I chose to do.
