Wow, that is incredible. You write Leia well, and especially Obi-Wan. I do wonder why Bail didn't introduce him as General. In her message, she calls him General Kenobi. I must admit that I agree with you in regards to Amidala's death. After all, Leia does say she remembers her in RotJ. That was one of my biggest complaints about RotS. Anyway, this is wonderful. Great job!
Author's Response: This came from an Obi-Wan characterization workshop, over at the boards at theforce.not. We all wrote vignettes describing Obi-Wan under different names, and tried to guess each other's identities through our different styles of writing. As it was written before EpIII came out, I wrote according to what was canon (and a spoiler or three) at that time. I'm not much of a fan of the Plotless Wonders, as I call the prequels -- in the case of contradictions, the OT is canon. Thanks for reviewing!
Oh, what a fabulous window into Leia's early life. This was just wonderful. You remind me of why I love Leia so much and what a great character she is. How she learns about her mother and not her father was skillfully handled and quite moving. Great job!
Author's Response: Thank you so much, Argosy! I'm glad that you liked my Leia -- she was my hero, when I was a kid.
good story, doll. I like it. I would have thought it was something like this, too, before the last film. That's one of his "plot hole thingies" eh! lol Ah well. Thanks for posting.
Author's Response: Hey, Sunshine! Thank you very much -- you can definitely tell that I wrote it before EpIII came out.
that was a lovely story, keladry. have you thought of submitting it to theforce.net?
Author's Response: Actually, it was accepted into their archives a couple of years ago. Thank you very kindly for reviewing!
