This story is so sweet. While I enjoyed S&S with AR and ET, and the way the characters lives were resolved in the movie, I must admit to having wondered what would have happened if Col. Brandon and Ellinor had fallen in love and married. With your lovely tale, I now have a good idea of the direction things might have taken. Thank you for such a sweet story.

Author's Response: Thank you so much for reading and commenting. I'm very happy to know you enjoyed it.
I saw on your LJ that this had been listed as a featured story. I can see why! What a lovely and sad piece ... great job of turning the sense and sensibility theme on its head. And I love how you allow Brandon to be complex enough to love Marianne and fall in love with Elinor at the same time. Beautifully done!
Author's Response: What a lovely review. It's so nice to read that everything one had planned for a story has actually worked. Thank you so much.

I love AU stories. And especially after seeing the movie (and the Alan-Emma chemistry vibes), I can see this sort of thing happening when he isn't looking. *applause*
Author's Response: Thank you so much. Of course, the story is heavily influenced by the film as well by AR and ET. ;-)

This is terribly poignant. I am reading S&S right now and the Colonel and Elinor do seem well-suited. But, as I was saying at Austen dot com, they "fell" for who they "fell" for, however illogical.
Author's Response: Thank you so much for commenting. I'm happy to know you liked it. Elinor and Edward actually work for me, but Colonel Brandon and Marianne never convinced me.
Excellent. Very subtle action, but strong imagery. In keeping with the day. Fits well with the story. Pleasure to read.
Author's Response: Thank you so much, Beth. I'm very glad to know you liked it.
I really liked your story. I agree that Elenore and Christopher would make a good couple. I liked how you captured the sadness of what could not ever be. Thank you for a good story.

Author's Response: Thank you so much, Sunny. It's great to know that you liked the story. Well, I guess it could be, but it would cause a huge scandal, and Brandon and Elinor would have to emigrate to India.
Oh! For crying out Loud! Nobody see the movie or read the book or what! C. Brandon is in love with Marianne and Elinor with Ferrars that's all! Brandon marry Marianne, Elinor probably marry Ferrarz, Yeah! a Happy ending and you are not satisfied? Oh, Please!
Author's Response: I assume that you don't expect a proper reply on that review, do you?
Thank You! I have long been a fan of the Elinor and Col Brandon pairing, and to read that someone else is a fan of it too is wonderful! It gives me courage to keep my own fantasy going.
Perhaps someday I'll post some of it too...
Author's Response: I'm happy that you liked it. And I will keep my fingers crossed that your fantasy won't abandon you so that I can read your fic sometime.
Omigosh, how sweet and yet so sad. I've always wondered what would have happened if Brandon had wed Elinor. They seem so complimentary - mature, wise, patient, deep. The comparison with the pin-prick handmade valentine and the purchased valentine - that was perfect. Thank you for sharing this!
Author's Response: Thank you so much. I'm glad that you liked it. I always thought that Brandon and Elinor would have been a better match.
