Lovely - Nothing like men with plaited hair and fair damsels in distress. The idea of vikings having Ladies and courts made me wonder a bit. Now I did not live through those glorious times but they never striked me as a very courtly bunch.

Author's Response: No, the Vikings were feudal. An overlord had his minions who fought for him. I hope it didn't give off an air of St James' circa 1692, but if it did I apologise. Many many thanks for reading :o) Helen xxx

He swept her up into his arms like a bride, smiled triumphantly to his comrades and carried her out of the great hall, into the sunlight. Oh my, how romantic! I'm glad that you posted this lovely peice. As always, you are brilliant! Ruthie

I really liked that. I liked how you did such a good juob of getting the whole story into so few words. Nothing was left unsaid, and it was very satisfying and well written. Thanks for saring!

Author's Response: I thank you from the bottom of my holy socks for that lovely review! The one thing I liked about this piece was the promise Leif offers for a scrummy hero. I am making him centric in a novel I have planned. Helen xxx

Ah, good ol' Viking men...bring 'em back, I say!

Author's Response: Well, it's like your favourite all-time book, Maria and the Viking? That was my inspiration. :D
