Wow! Another beautiful chapter! I love how innocent Angelique is, but yet has a little devilish fire in her spirit! Poor Obadiah, he really has his work cut out for him. That was very sweet. Thought that was an interesting twist, Kenneth's long-time unrequited love for Obadiah's mum. Nicely written, with all the emotions played out quite nicely between the two couples.

I just love this story and it saddens me, that I have read the last chapter..for now. I'm glad Obadiah took care of that drunk guy, Brayton, what an a**! Sorry about that! But at least our hero defended his lady's honor. I would LOVE a man like Obadiah! *grins* And I think it's cute of Angelique, teasing Obi like she is...Driving the poor boy crazy! I'm glad he was'nt hurt too badly, and that Dr. Rhys got him all stitched up. Poor Angelique, sneaking downstairs to be with her sweetheart! And Daddy catches her...I read one of the earlier reviews and yes, things were strict back then, in the 1800's. And it was nice to see Kenneth back in the picture. I bet he has a thing for Obi's mom...How about a double wedding, eh?? lol Well, I can't wait for the next chapter. I wish you the best of luck, Becky in writing future chapters. Ooops! A fight at the party!! Not a good thing, and there's always somebody around to ruin everyone's party,(no pun intended!) Such a long chapter, and it ended so abruptly. But it was great as always. I love cream of potato soup, and Betsy's reminded me of a 'tale' my dad would tell me, about when, during the Great Depression, his mom (my grandmom) would make potato soup for dinner every night, and on Sunday, they'd have potato soup, with the POTATOES in it!! It was kind of a family joke, but it was true. But I do love potato soup! Sorry for the trip down memory lane... I'm happy that the new school will have a name, Latymer, and that does sound familiar, is'nt that the name of the school that our beloved Alan attended as a youth? And I could not help but notice Angelique's initials...Coincidence, no? *grin* Anyway, I hope that the lady that Obi and Angelique went to see, can be brought out of her dpression. I'm sure she'll perk up, once she sees that people will be kind to her and want her around. No one should ever get like that about life. You must think positive thoughts and strive to live on. God indeed has a PLan for all of us, and we're all here to see it through. I just love Obadiah though...When he was in that tub, thinking about his Angel...You might have thought he was a teenager, the way he gets all worked up over her...All hot for her and everything! Well, I am very happy to see this wonderful story updated! Thank you Becky! it was well worth the wait! ;0) I'm glad that Obadiah's mom is okay, she sure did'nt sound like it, by the way the injuries looked...I mean, the way you discribed them. How evil that they allowed that man out and about! My heart went out to Obadiah the way he fretted over his mother's welfare and I'm glad he took Dr. Rhys's advice and moved her to St. Bart's. Imagine! The stupid doctor drunk as a skunk and passed out in an exam room! The little prat should be fired! I could've used a stronger term for him, but this is a review box not a shout box! *grins* I'm also glad that Obi got to visit with Angelique, if only for ten minutes. Her family seems to trust Obi now. And I sure hope he enjoys their gifts that he'll receive for Christmas. Once again, thatnks for more tales of Obadiah! He is just so awesome!!

Yes I have heard there are incompetent Doctors, so it was easy to write, because at one time My mother encounterd one, when I was quite ill. Thank goodness for my Pediatrician!
