Brilliant. Beautiful imagery, as vivid as if I were there myself. Sad, yet heartwarming.
Author's Response: Well, the scene is based on a very real place...a coastal reserve that i make a point of hiking at least once a year, and have since i turned 15. It is one of the few stories that truly wrote itself...so Thanks!
