I spent the evening drinking whiskey with holy water

Now this was terrific. And the crazy nun - actually there was one at my primary school. Claimed some of the pupils were possessed by the satan and tried to exorcism them. Lost her job, of course.

I am looking so much forward to reading more - and do hope once Master Spiritus is done you may contemplate writing another one set in Constantine/Hellblazer Universe. I love them.

But what i love most is the way you create Salome's characterisation. This may just be my opinion, but she sounds like such an emotional vampire, a toxic person (apart from the weird stuff ;). Does whatever she wants, treats others like things for her use. Manipulates their emotions and get really upset when things don't go her way. A narcisstic, egotistic personality. I've known such girls, got away with anything 'cause their legs were soo long. It's fun to read about one like that - and I love how you painted her portrait with but a few scenes. I already mentioned your ability to create a character in one of my reviews for KEC and I have to repeat myself. Go and write original stuff, Guernica. You're one writer I would gladly read.

I think I'me getting addicted to your style, Guernica. It's so pleasantly stylish and unique. There are not many people for whom I'd exit my beloved fandom ;)

The story is intriguing. I can't wait to see how the things will go all wrong and I'm curious as to what the beautiful lady is hiding :)

I'm most curious,

Novinha

Gah, I forgot to mention in reviewing the last chapter, how HOT that limo sex scene was! Woo-hoo, baby! I love the development of their relationship here - the little touches like the baseball games, and just chowing down on Chinese take-out in front of the TV. They both come across as such real characters... very beautifully drawn. But damn, that girl's a bit scary, isn't she? Great suspense build-up - you have me dying to know what's going to happen next. :)

Hey! I don't recall seeing a notice that this chapter was up already! *shakes fist* Well, I just had to stop by and tell you how much I still love this fic. Damn tht sex-ay John Constantine. I adore his voice and POV; you have really gotten into his skin here, and it works perfectly as a narrator. Salome is sexy and scary at the same time; Glickman is pitch-perfect irritating, Applebaum... oh hell, we all know a bitch like her, don't we? Great story - can't wait for more. :)

this is absolutely awesome, really! i posted in da that the first chapter was very much movie-verse, plus a touch of the comic-verse in his interactions with the ladies. well..that second chapter has blown me pretty much away! you are writing him just so very much ->contantine<- it's scary! it's the very essence of his character, that is jumping in my head, and it makes me want to run home, watch the movie, reread a bunch of the comics and then reread the fanfic, because your constantine is the ideal amalgam of hellblazer and contantine, the whole feel of the story so far...wah...I can't even tell it right^^; anyways, I absolutely love it to pieces and am begging for more!^^

Dearest Guernica,

I am so happy you decided to write a new story set in Constantine's universe! I enjoyed "Angel of Light" tremendously and of course it's a real pleasure to revisit this fandom.

The first person narration makes the story instantly remind me of the original movie - I guess the comics kept such narration, too? I haven't even seen one in a local shop, or I would take a good long look at it certainly (I admit that due to my small budget I read all the Sandmans in the shop...)

I must admit that I am curious as to the Pomeranians - damn dictionary informed me that it's a dog's race. Terribly helpful. I have no idea what kind of a dog that is. I myself own a huge, ugly Briard. Sweetest race - they tend to think themselves tiny and jump at their owners when happy. I will have to google the race ;) - especially as I am a Pomeranian of human sort.

I like how you interlace these small things that give the story such literary feel - Theda Bara, the OCs that have a character immediately after they arrive... You have a gift of creating a world with few words. I envy this greatly.

As much as Constantine's world treats Christian beliefs with a great deal of freedom I like how they are interlaced here. I am quite a religious person (or should this be said - I have strong feelings about religious issues) and perhaps this should upset me - but it rather makes me glad. Maybe it's due to the amount of paganism visible in HP fandom which makes me bored... If I see one more pagan binding ceremony... As if there was any canon indication...

It seems to me that you really do well in these urban-smokey climates. It was a pleasure to read.

I haven't read Hellblazer since the '80s when it debuted. I remember Constantine was really good-looking when the series began, and then they redrew his character to be ugly and a complete jerk. They must have reverted to the old look. And you've made him a lot classier than he ever was back then, but I like the reinterpretation of the character. I was very interested to read this, and I very much enjoyed it.

Oh, hell yes! I'm so glad to see this here, baby - you know I love it to pieces. Great opening to what looks to be a twisting and turning, ghoulish adventure. I don't know anything about the Hellblazer comics, and can barely remember the Constantine movie, but none of that matters here. You write such wonderful characters, they are all alive for me, and I immediately feel a bond with every one of them. Next chapter, please? :)
